Egyptian Minister of Housing, Moustafa Madbouly, inaugurated the 6th edition of Cityscape Egypt yesterday (March 31st), by exploring the latest real estate developments on the show floor from the country’s foremost developers.
The Minister, who toured the exhibition and admired life-like real estate models depicting the country’s future developments, stopped to discuss the projects with several exhibitors, commending their efforts to transform Egypt’s real estate sector.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Minister said he was pleased that there was a significant increase in real estate projects at the show. “New project launches and the expansion of phases in mega-developments at Cityscape Egypt, this year, illustrates that the show is witnessing significant increase,” he said.
The show has grown close to 10%, with this year’s event emerging as the largest in the event’s history growing, selling out all halls.
Cityscape Egypt, which runs until April 3rd at the Cairo International Convention Centre, saw the launch of several investment opportunities when it opened its doors, for buyers across all price points from 90 exhibitors who plugged Egypt’s real estate prowess with offerings in the residential, hospitality and commercial sector.
“Gauging the industry sentiment, we consider a visit to this year’s Cityscape Egypt a must for investors, homebuyers and real estate aficionados looking for exciting developments,” said Tom Rhodes, Exhibition Director at Cityscape Egypt. “As the country’s population continues to grow, a natural need for diverse housing offerings across more varied price points has risen, and our exhibitors are speaking to that need. We’re seeing new and unique residential products enter the market.”
Exhibitor, Hyde Park New Cairo revealed details on the second phase of Park Corner, which will be completed within three years. As part of its mega-development, Hyde Park offers one of the largest landscaped parks in Egypt, spanning an area of 600,000 sqm. The exhibitor is offering an 8-year payment plan on the second phase of Park Corner.
The second phase is set to offer almost 1000 units, including villas, family houses, duplexes, apartments and a variety of amenities that feature a club house, park, and medical complex.“Hyde Park also features a new product called Family Houses which comprises three separate units, each of which offers 3 bedrooms,” said Eng. Amin Serag, Hyde Park CEO. “This is a unique new product not available in many developments in the market, and is designed to accommodate a whole family in one place, yet each enjoying a separate apartment with the benefits of a villa equipped with a common roof and garden. The family houses are located right next to the villas to enjoy the same level of privacy and luxury feel,” he added.
While developer, Aspen Development revealed its game changing urban development project that aims to revive the old neighbourhood in Nasr City. Centrally located between the old city, New Cairo and the airport, the urban space is an extension of the community of Cairo, and consists of residences, commercial offices, clinics and retail space.
ARCO Egypt unveiled three projects at the exhibition; La Fontaine, Citystars Al Sahel, and Lavande.
La Fontaine is a residential development, in proximity to the new capital Cairo, and features covered heated swimming pools, botanical gardens, bicycle and jogging lanes and solar solutions.
Citystars Al Sahel, located in Fouka K, comprises residential, retail and hospitality. The development features an exclusive residential complex, hotels, blue lagoons and recreational facilities. With a commercial mall and an entertainment area, Citystars Al Sahel will also include five-star hotels, such as Fairmont and Swiss Hotel. Lavande located seconds away from Mall of Arabia and the upcoming Mall of Egypt, is a residential development that comprises 84 standalone villas, 68 twin houses and 202 town houses – all overlooking lush green space.
