About the competition
Launched in 2024 at Cityscape, Egypt Proptech Challenge was Egypt’s first startup competition designed to showcase innovative solutions in the real estate sector.
This competition provided an exclusive platform for startups to pitch their ideas to an audience of potential investors, industry experts, and fellow entrepreneurs.
In addition to the pitching opportunities, the event featured mentorship programs, networking sessions, and panel discussions that equiped participants with valuable insights and connections.
By fostering a collaborative environment, Egypt Proptech Challenge aims to drive technological advancements and support the growth of emerging startups within Egypt's dynamic real estate market.

Eligibility
The competition is open to all Proptech startups. To participate in Egypt Proptech Challenge, startups must meet the following criteria:
Innovative Solution
The startup must offer innovative solutions in one or more of the following areas:
a. Smart Buildings and Cities
b. Smart & Green Construction Technology
c. Commercial Real Estate Solutions
d. Sustainable PropTech Solutions
e. Property Management Solutions
Other criteria include
Geographical Scope:
Startups should be focusing on solutions impacting the real estate market in Egypt and the MENA region.
Technology Integration:
The solution must integrate technology to deliver its core functionalities effectively.
Startup Stage:
● The startup should have developed a working and validated Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
● Priority will be given to startups that have progressed beyond the MVP and Seed stages
Founding Team:
The startup must be led by a team of at least two founders with complementary skills.
Customer Traction And Revenue:
The startup should have built initial customer traction and generated monthly recurring revenue (MRR).

- Submission Deadline: August 31, 2024
- Announcement of Finalists: September 10, 2024
- Competition Date: September 25, 2024
Judging Criteria
- Innovation: Originality and innovativeness of the solution.
- Market Potential: Scalability and market opportunity.
- Business Model: Viability and clarity of the business model.
- Impact: Potential impact on the real estate market and sustainability.
- Presentation: Quality of the pitch and presentation skills.

The winner of Egypt Proptech Challenge 2025 will not only gain prestigious recognition and a unique opportunity to showcase their groundbreaking innovation to the global real estate technology community but will also receive a cash prize that will be announced.
Competition Format
● Pitch Presentation: Each startup will have 5 minutes to pitch their idea, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session with the judges.
● Judging Panel: A panel of experienced investors, industry experts, and mentors will evaluate the pitches.
● Feedback Session: Judges will provide feedback and mentorship advice to each startup on spot.
