The first ever Egypt Real Estate Summit at Cityscape Egypt was a phenomenal success.  Over 300 delegates gathered over the course of 3 days including numerous presentations, panel discussions and workshop opportunities.  Highlights included a Special Address from Prof. Dr. Eng.  Mohamed El-Baradei the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Planning who inaugurated proceedings at the conference on the morning of 20 February followed by a Keynote Address from Mrs Neveen El Shafei, Vice Chairman of the General Authority for Investment.  Day Two commenced with an active discussion on the important topic of affordable housing provision which featured notable speakers Abdel Nasser Taha, Development Director Mivida, Emaar Misr; Walid Elfrakawy, Chairman, Ofok Properties; Ibrahim El Missiri, Director of Development, Madinat Nasr Housing and Development and Omar Elhitamy, Managing Director, Orascom Housing Communities.

Two workshops took place on Day Three, 22 February, focusing on Affordable Housing and lead by Orascom and other influential guest speakers including Mrs. May Abdel Hamid, Chairman of the Mortgage Finance Fund.  Workshop B took a more consumer focus sponsored by RCI was extremely popular as delegates discovered opportunities in timeshare and fractional ownership in Egypt.
